Carlos Luis Sánchez Becerra
Maracaibo, 1987. Lives and works in Coro, Venezuela.
Carlos Luis has a degree in Plastic Arts by the Experimental Faculty of Art of the University of Zulia. He is a multi-faceted artist; although his work is mainly pictorial, he has also worked as a stage designer and actor for independent theatre and ventured into the writing and drawing of comic, performance, dance, poetry, contortionism, music and especially in video art as an integrating medium for diverse artistic expressions. Much of his audio-visual work is available online under the pseudonym Tar Majenye.
His pictorial work is represented in the Zulia Museum of Contemporary Art collection and private collections in Norway, England, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, France, Italy, the United States, Mexico, Panama, Peru, Argentina and, of course, Venezuela.
